Inspiration is Divine

There are many ways to feel the love and comfort of your own self-worth, and the added confirmation of the Holy Ghost brings peace in mind. The inspiration found in one’s moments of meditation and ponderings is divine, and calming. However, if one does not take action to test and challenge those ideas, you will never know the truth of them.

In life, action speaks louder than one’s thoughts after careful contemplation. Action shows little ones the concept rather than the noise of an illusive idea. Love isn’t telling, it’s feeling and that takes action. The world will be louder than we expect sometimes.

And that happened to our family when my son had written his name on the trash dumpster in our apartment complex and explained it was everyone else that was louder than the quiet yearnings in his mind not to do it. I wrote “Garbage Can Graffiti” based on that true story in hopes to help other small children recognize the power of those inner thoughts and warnings that are attributed to the Holy Ghost. But it takes action and practice.

It takes daily effort to receive inspiration and act on those feelings. When one continues to find successes, the confidence in the Holy Ghost waxes strong within them.

I hope, like many, you find that my book “The Holy Ghost is Like a Blanket” is a helpful tool for your family and friends to grow and learn about the Spirit and peace with the choices we make daily. It’s a divine gift.

Listen & Learn

The Holy Ghost is like a book.

A book uses words and pictures to teach. When you ask for help, the Holy Ghost helps you remember what to say and do. . .

I like to take a book to the beach with me. Sometimes I read the book, sometimes I just listen to the world around me. The ocean waves, the seagulls, people walking, cars behind me. . . and the world is noisy and quiet all at the same time.   When I focus on one thing, I ignore other things, but what I read, I learn. When I listen, I find that I’m either hunting for something or nothing. Therefore, I was thinking about how we learn from reading books and listening to the world around us. Just a few thoughts – – I wish you a very happy day!
