Inspiration is Divine

There are many ways to feel the love and comfort of your own self-worth, and the added confirmation of the Holy Ghost brings peace in mind. The inspiration found in one’s moments of meditation and ponderings is divine, and calming. However, if one does not take action to test and challenge those ideas, you will never know the truth of them.

In life, action speaks louder than one’s thoughts after careful contemplation. Action shows little ones the concept rather than the noise of an illusive idea. Love isn’t telling, it’s feeling and that takes action. The world will be louder than we expect sometimes.

And that happened to our family when my son had written his name on the trash dumpster in our apartment complex and explained it was everyone else that was louder than the quiet yearnings in his mind not to do it. I wrote “Garbage Can Graffiti” based on that true story in hopes to help other small children recognize the power of those inner thoughts and warnings that are attributed to the Holy Ghost. But it takes action and practice.

It takes daily effort to receive inspiration and act on those feelings. When one continues to find successes, the confidence in the Holy Ghost waxes strong within them.

I hope, like many, you find that my book “The Holy Ghost is Like a Blanket” is a helpful tool for your family and friends to grow and learn about the Spirit and peace with the choices we make daily. It’s a divine gift.

I love when siblings grow up and follow in the footsteps of their older sister. This younger brother has his own little story of how the Holy Spirit is special to him.

Your children don’t see the Holy Ghost, but that doesn’t mean they can’t feel His presence. With heart-warming illustrations, The Holy Ghost Is Like a Blanket depicts characteristics of the Holy Ghost by comparing them to objects children remember and relate to. These meaningful analogies will help your little ones recognize the Holy Ghost as a real influence in their lives.

If you’d be interested in reviewing a copy, please let me know.

Read & Rejoice

It’s great to be eight.

Our youngest just turned six and is learning to draw the number 8. She got a small whiteboard as a gift and covers the surface with figure eights, 8 and says to me, “I can’t wait to be 8.

What a blessing to have “I Want to Be Baptized” and “The Holy Ghost is Like a Blanket” for her to read and ponder before she turns eight and makes that important choice in her life.

I had the blessing of signing a few books for some friends who came to town. I do love signing books for special events like baptisms and confirmations.

The gospel is a joy and at this Easter season when we rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I find happiness abounding all around in the simple joys of life, even drawing the letter 8, it’s great!

Celebrate!

Stay Tuned – I’ll be headed to Provo/Orem the first week of May for book signing events.
